The Brewrats Ep. 450 Summary 11/09/2009 Educational Monday (extensive version)
It was about 2 months when I had my last visit to the Brewrats crew way back when NBA legend Dominique Wilkins was their guest. Even though I left the house at already past 6pm, I might had a slim chance to be in the booth on time. Of course, my visit has a purpose. I want to claim my Winrox gift pack and the Figaro GCs which I won from the show’s last episode on RT. The traffic’s a-ok from SLEX to Magallanes until I reached the Ayala area. The bus stop over there made it officially that I’ll be late for the show. It was Angel who did the intro as she shared a story on her presence in an Oxfam event in Ateneo last weekend. Few moments later, Ramon’s already in the house. Angel continued to tell those stories including in a music video which she saw Tado’s “behind”. Tado just arrived before the 1st ad gap. The next segments became a random trivia night as I’m approaching to the radio station’s office. At first, I already accepted the possibility that I might can’t get in the DJ’s booth. I mean, just the claim the prizes and ba-bye. I also had some bribes to give to the rats that I won’t mention. (but Ramon said that on Mega Manila radio). Angel was the one who approached me after I cleared myself to the security guard. Without hestitation, I asked her if I’m allowed to be inside the booth as she just said “Yes” with a smile. That one completed my ‘mission” as Ramon and Tado welcomed me. I was just near them as I’m taking down some notes for this summary via the mobile phone. Within that trivia night, there’s one particular thing that caught my attention. Angel already tried Demerol. That topic came out after Ramon said something related to that drug and Angel said that she really felt the GOOD effects of it. Again on Angel, she also shared her movie experience on watching the Aussie film Black Balloon. Ramon also gave a news on his soon to be released TV ad with Mo Twister. They also had some discussions on old school cartoons (like Carebears, Thundercats, etc.) Shaider and McDonalds in different countries. According to Ramon, there’s a thing called Megamac in McDo Singapore which is bigger than the normal Big Mac. Angel also shared some info about McDo London. Last few minutes, the brewsters with the most unique trivia had a chance to call and play Pinoy, Patay, Bading to win those Katy Perry concert tickets.
It was another great experience to be in the Brewrats live and in the flesh!
