The Brewrats Ep. 438 Summary 10/19/2009 Educational Monday

DJs Tado and Ramon Bautista opened the start of the Brewrats week with an early chit-chat with Ms. Sarah Meier of The Dollhouse in U92 FM. Sarah even noticed that movie poster of “Ang Beerhouse” which Tado was one of the main stars. DJ Angel came in onboard after a few minutes and shared her story in her experience in Sofitel and her soon-to-be overseas trip to Malaysia courtesy of Red Rock Travel. They tackled on the issue on the effects of illegal drugs as their opening discussion. As a part of Educational Monday, they talked more about rocks for the most of the show. They also talked about recording artists which at time the only format available was the cassette tapes. As a connection to “rocks”, Angel said that she doesn’t want to have a diamond peel operation. After a brewster called in his Spanish words, they even had a topic on that said language as Angel also said that she took up 3 units of Spanish in college including that type of Spanish language from Spain. Ramon and Tado shared the story of that recent hold-up incident in Greenbelt 5 last Sunday to Angel coz she had no idea on that news. Because of that, they only accept calls from any person who got first-hand experience on that. Lucky that a listener named Marco called in and told his own GB5 hold-up story. According to him, the gunfight lasted for about 3-4 minutes. Before the clock strikes at 9pm, Ramon finally had his story on the recent Brewrats trip in Enchanted Kingdom which he farted 4 times in an EK ride. On Angel, she rode both on Rio Grande rapids and that “log ride”. On Tado, he said that he only tried the Rio Grande. They had other random discussions at the last 30 minutes of the show.
