Some interesting facts shared by Fr. Francis on the Brewrats

Aside from answering tons of inquiries about priesthood,etc., that came in from the brewsters, Fr. Francis shared some infos that we might never know:

1. 1,000 years ago, priests were married and there s no vow to celibacy that time.
2. In Philippine statistics, there is 1 priest for every 20,000 Filipinos while in the U.S., there s 1 priest for every 2,000 Americans.
3. Currently, there are about 6,000 priests in the Philippines.
4. Just like a driver, a priest also has a license.
5. In the church s collection, about 60% goes to the parish & 40% for the church maintenance.
6. An average homily in a mass takes about 10-12 mins.
